A Few Photos from Bali

Hi Folks,

On a whim, thought I’d send a few shots of my non-work life in Bali.  Here are a few photos I took this week:

A 10′ x 5 1/2′ lotus painting and painter

A sign in front of the money exchanger’s shop
Views  both up and down the rice field in front of my house (my view at this very moment)
A shot of one end of my terrace
One of my staff at the house in the kitchen
My hair cutter ($.71)  and his shop and lots of Balinese hair on the floor. Looks like a busy day for him. My hair was quite a contrast for him

Village making and playing with parts of a cremation tower the day before cremation in Ubud

Having journeyed to the Far East and Asia over 20 times in the past 20 years, I’ve been intrigued and inspired by the ingenuity, craftsmanship, balance and human spirit that have gone into the making of those works I have seen and collected.
